  In undulating pasture, on a low rise. Indicated on the 1914 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked area (diam. c. 30m). This possible rath is now levelled and a barely perceptible semicircular rise was noted in the vicinity.   Description

  In undulating pasture, close to the break of an E-facing slope. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as an embanked circular area (diam. c. 25m) but on the 1914 OS 6-inch map only as an arc of hachures SE-NW. The E half of the rath has been quarried. The present remains consist of the W half of the rath evident as a raised roughly D-shaped area (dims. c. 15m E-W; straight E side 22m N-S). The straight side is defined by the edge of the quarry face and the remainder by an earthen bank (Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.5m) S-N.   Description

  In undulating pasture, close to the break of slope on the NW side of a ridge. A raised circular area (26m NW-SE) enclosed by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse (Wth 4m). The inner bank (Wth 10.8m; int. H 1.35m; ext. H 4.7m) has an entrance (Wth 3.5m) at S with a causeway across the fosse and there is a corresponding entrance in the outer bank. The outer bank (Wth 5.7m; int. H 1.55m; ext. H 1.4m) has much tumbled stone on its internal face along the W arc. The W portion of the interior is raised to compensate for the hillslope and is covered with nettles. The remainder of the interior is covered with thistles. Both banks are ringed with hawthorn bushes. Immediately to W of rath is a natural terrace (c. 20m E-W; 40m N-S).   In undulating pasture, on the E side of a rise. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as an embanked circular area (diam. c. 20m) on the N edge of a large quarry pit. Remains consist of a raised semicircular area (25.3m E-W) defined by an arc of earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.7m) W-ENE and by a steep linear scarp to S of which is the N limit of a large quarry pit (20m x 25m). Some stone revetment was noted on the external face of the bank along the NE arc.   Description

  In undulating pasture, on top of a NE-SW ridge. A circular area enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.9m) with traces of a possible internal fosse (Wth c. 1.5m) evident NNW-SE. The overall diameter is 23.2m E-W. The bank is uniform, overgrown with hawthorn bushes and incorporated into a field boundary SSE-SSW. The interior is a low flattened dome-shape with gently sloping sides most clearly defined W-SE. Field boundaries lie immediately to the E of the barrow and there is a steep slope immediately to E and S. • SL025-130 Enclosure
  Description

  In wet pasture, on elevated ground at the base of a high ridge. A roughly circular area (c. 84m NNE-SSW; 77m WNW-ESE) defined by a poorly preserved earthen bank and an external fosse. The gently rounded bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 1.8m; ext. H 0.45m) is clearly defined S-SW and is evident as an intermittent low rise (Wth c. 3m; ext. H 0.6m) NE-S; elsewhere the interior is defined by a scarp (H 0.9m). The flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 2m; D 1.3m) is clearly defined S-SW but is shallow (Wth 3m; D 0.4m) elsewhere. Both the bank and the fosse are cut into rising ground S-SW and are cut by a trackway at SW. The N two thirds of the interior are occupied by a small oval hillock (c. 60m NW-SE; 47m NE-SW) with a flattened top and broadly sloping sides. A gap (Wth 5-10m) of level ground separates the base of the hillock from the bank along the E arc. A recently recut stream, with mounds of upcast on its S side, crosses the S third of the interior, cutting through the enclosing elements at SSE and SW. The bank and fosse are obscured by the upcast at SSE. The trackway which cuts the bank and fosse at SW continues into the interior and crosses the stream via a concrete bridge. A N-S field boundary (Wth 2.6m; H 0.7m), flanked by drains (Wth 1m), crosses the interior to W of centre. Another field boundary extends E from this, defining the S side of the hillock. A degraded NNE-SSW field boundary crosses the SE end of the hillock. Linked to this is a low scarp following the curve of the hillock NNE-SSW, thus enclosing a roughly D-shaped area (c. 30m NNE-SSW; 18m E-W), with a pronounced slope down to E. To SW of the enclosure the ground rises sharply in a broad steep NE-facing slope, part of a high ridge that overlooks the enclosure. A moated site (SL025-131----) lies c. 50 m to E and a fulacht fia (SL025-165001-) c. 30m to SE. • SL025-131 Moated site
  Description

  In level wet pasture with ridges of higher ground to SE and SW; the surrounding area is cut by modern drains. A raised rectangular area (13.9m NE-SW; 15.7m NW-SE) enclosed by the remains of two earthen banks with intervening and outer fosses. Only slight traces of the inner bank are evident, along the NE side and at the S and W corners; elsewhere the interior is defined by a scarp (H 0.8m). The intervening fosse (Wth 1.6m) is marked by a dense growth of rushes. The outer bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.95m) is evident all round. The outer fosse (Wth 4m; D 0.3m) is evident along the NW, SW and SE sides but on the NW side it swings c. 10m wide of the outer bank. A low rise (Wth 4m) is evident on the external side of the outer fosse on the S half of the SW side. A circular enclosure (SL025-130----) lies c. 50m to W and a fulacht fia (SL025-165001-) c. 30m to SSW in the same field.   Description

  In wet pasture, c. 8m to NE of a stream. A kidney-shaped mound (11.2m N-S; 10.4m E-W; H 0.6m) of heat-shattered stones and dark soil with the opening facing NE. Two burnt spreads (SL025-165002-; SL025-165003-) lie c. 30m to SSE and c. 50m to SSE respectively. There is a circular enclosure (SL025-130----) c. 30m to NW and a moated site (SL025-131----) c. 30m to NNE, in the same field.   Description

  In pasture, on a W-facing slope and in the SW corner of a field. An oval platform (30.5m x 25.5m) defined on top by the remains of an earthen bank and at the base by traces of a fosse. The bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.5m) is best evident along the N arc. A possible entrance (Wth 4m) is at NE with a corresponding ramp from the exterior. The fosse (Wth 1m; D 0.3m) is best evident along the NW and E arcs. There are trees in the interior and field boundaries immediately to W and S.   Description

  In pasture, on a slight rise. An oval area (int. diam. 18m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by a gapped earthen bank. The bank is most substantial along the N arc (Wth 2m; int. H 2m; ext. H 1.5m), where it has been incorporated into a field boundary, and is eroded internally and externally along the E arc. A possible entrance (Wth 5m) is at NW. A small hollow (diam. 0.5m), due to recent digging, was noted in the S half of the interior, just inside the bank.
