  Description

  Situated on the NE-facing slope of a hill in rough pastureland. Not indicated on the 1st (1843) or 1904 ed. OS 6-inch maps but identified as a circular cropmark on an aerial photograph taken in 1973 (GSIAP, R117/8). Not visible at ground level. The landowner knew of no site or tradition of a site in this field. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.   Description

  Situated on a break in a SW-facing slope just off the brow of the hill, in pasture. A circular area (diam. 23m N-S; 22.2m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank with some stones (Wth 3.6m; int. H 1.33m; ext. H 1.14-2.14m) and an external U-shaped fosse (Wth 4.5m; D 0.66m). There is a gap (Wth 2.2m) at S.
