These lie between the existing Cahir Substation in the townland of Ballyhenebery, and the border with County Cork in the townland of Coolapreavan, crossing the County Tipperary townlands of: Ballyhenebery, Monaraha, Ballymacadam West, Killeenbutler, Garnavilla, Ballybrada, Cranna, Roosca (Hickey), Roosca (Burke), Crannavone, Killinure, Ballyhohan, Ballygarrane, Derravoher, Burges West, Curraghatoor, Kilroe, Kilbeg, Inchnamuck, Ballysheehan, Shanbally, Knockaarum, Cullenagh South, Carriganroe, Coolantallagh, Carrigavisteal, Dangan, Cooladerry, Knocknagapple and Coolapreavan. The development also includes 3 no. temporary construction compounds in the townlands of Killeigh, Garnavilla and Knockaarum. Description
On a natural hillock in an area of outcrop at the edge of a flat river valley. The land slopes gradually to the N and NW, in rough pasture. The Thonoge River flows c. 150m to the NE. Only a portion of the wall (T 0.96m) of this church survives, composed of limestone rubble, roughly coursed and roughly aligned E-W, surviving for a length of 2.7m. At the S end of the W face of the surviving wall there is another wall (T 0.97m) projecting westward for 0.46m. Bedrock is very close to the surface in the graveyard. Description
On natural hillock in area of outcrop at the edge of a flat river valley, in rough pasture. The Thonoge River flows c. 150m to the NE. The church (TS081-050001-), of which only a small portion survives upstanding, is roughly centrally placed within the graveyard, on the land sloping down to N. The edge of the graveyard (diam. 42.5m N-S; 37m E-W) is defined by a low bank (Wth 1.15m), largely reduced to scarp (H 0.1m int.; 0.6m ext. to c. 2m in the W quadrant). Description
Detached three-bay single-storey thatched house, built c.1800, with shopfront extension to ground floor, flat roofed extension to east and adjoining three-bay two-storey house to south-east. Hipped reed thatch roof with red brick chimneystack. Painted ruled-and-lined rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with replacement uPVC windows and painted sills. Shopfront to ground floor with replacement uPVC door with replacement uPVC door to side with timber fascia board with raised lettering.
