  Situated on an E-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A raised circular area (diam. 38m NE-SW) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; ext. H 1.5m; int.   Situated on a N-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A poorly preserved site which has been recently destroyed. The present remains consist of a circular ploughed up area (diam. approx. 37m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.7m) from S to W where it survives as a field fence. No other features visible.   Situated just below the summit of a hill on a NE-facing slope, in pasture. Ringforts (TN027-108) and (TN027-109) visible to SSE and SE respectively. Not indicated on either the 1st (1843) or 1904 ed. OS 6-inch maps but identified as a circular cropmark on an aerial photograph taken in 1973 (GSIAP, R 116/117). Not visible at ground level. • TN027-108 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Located on the NE-facing slope of a hill in pasture with a nearby ringfort (TN027-109) visible to the E. A roughly circular area (diam. 43.6m N-S; 42.2m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth 3.1m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1m), a fosse (Wth 4.8m; D 0.73m) and an outer bank (Wth 1.4m; ext. H 0.5m) with a causewayed entrance (Wth 3.5m) in the S sector used by cattle and tractor. A field boundary, which augments the outer bank, extends along the edge of the fosse at S. Some rushes growing in the interior indicate that the site gets waterlogged and there is a suggestion of ridge and furrow in the S portion. A silage heap near the W edge of the site has been fenced off with post and wire fencing. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.   Description

  Detached U-plan five-bay single-storey Garda Síochána station, built 1928, with projecting end bays, and with entrance porch to west elevation. Hipped and pitched artificial slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls with decorative render eaves course. Square-headed openings with six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows, tripartite to centre, rear and end bays, latter in round-headed recesses. Timber panelled doors. Outbuilding to site has hipped slate roof, roughcast rendered walls, timber sash windows and timber doors.
