  Description

  In landscaped garden, on a gentle N-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 20m NE-SW; 19.5m NW-SE) defined by landscaped scarp (Wth 0.9-1.1m; H 0.7-0.85m) which is cut by stone steps and rockery around SW-arc. Patio abuts scarp at SSE. Possible traces of fosse E-ESE. Surface of interior is smooth and tilts downslope gently to N. Cast-iron railing encloses monument NW-E. Small strip of tillage and access road enclose monument to E and grass verge and driveway enclose same to S. Garrane House is c. 5m to SW and outbuildings and yard c. 5m to W. • TS060-016 Enclosure
  Description

  In tillage on a gentle S-facing slope. Sub-oval area (dims. c. 45m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) defined by remains of levelled bank reduced to scarp (Wth 2m; H 0.75m). Base of scarp is obscured by overgrowth covering an untilled margin (Wth c. 2m) around exterior. Interior obscured in places by dense overgrowth, appears to be level in centre and falling gently around perimeter to scarp. Stream c. 35m to W. Enclosure (TS060-017001-) is c. 55m to SSW. • TS060-017001 Enclosure
  Description

  In tillage (barley) on a gentle S-facing slope. Stream curving around W and SW sides of monument. Circular area (dims. c. 35m N-S; c. 30m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 3.85m; H 1.5m) which is obscured for most part by dense growth of thorn trees, ivy, briars and nettles. Fosse (overall Wth 5.15m; basal Wth 0.7m; D 0.3m) only seen NW-NE and is generally choked by dense vegetation. Interior ungrazed and covered by tall, thick grasses with large areas of nettles prevailing within centre. Trees and growth on enclosing elements are encroaching into perimeter of interior. Large areas of uncultivated growth around exterior of fosse in places. Yellow flags on exterior of fosse at SE may correspond to the spring which may have fed the holy well (TS060-017002-) within SE-sector. Enclosure (TS060-016----) is c. 55m to NNE. • TS060-017002 Ritual site - holy well
  Description

  Within SE-sector of enclosure (TS060-017001-). Access not gained. Impenetrable vegetation in this area of interior. Yellow flags at base of scarp at SE may correspond to a natural spring which may have fed the well. Spring may have originated here as ground very wet underfoot and ground slopes down to S. • TS060-046 Enclosure
  Description

  In generally level pasture, very slight downslope to ENE. Circular area (dims. 30m E-W; 29m N-S) defined by remains of low scarp (Wth 1.15m; H 0.5m) which is best preserved SE-ENE and levelled out, yet still visible ENE-SE. Fosse (overall Wth 4.15m; basal Wth 1.75m; D 0.18m) is best preserved SE-ENE and is backfilled ENE-SE. Causeways (Wth c. 2.5m) across fosse at SW and WSW may be modern.
