  Description

  Situated on flat pasture in undulating countryside. Depicted as a 'Children's Burial Ground' on the 1st edition OS 6-inch map and referred to in the OS Name Books (1840) as a graveyard for infants called 'faustemple'. No visible remains at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
