• TN029-066 Moated site
  Description

  Situated on the E-facing slope of a low hillock in undulating countryside with a nearby enclosure (TN029-067) to the SE. A square-shaped area (dims. 27m E-W) enclosed by a well-preserved earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) with no evidence of an outer fosse or entrance feature. There is a lot of loosely piled rubble on top of the bank which possibly represents the remains of a stone wall. The bank was planted with hazelnut trees in the last century. • TN029-067 Enclosure
  Description

  Situated just off the summit of a low hillock in undulating countryside with a nearby rectangular enclosure (TN029-066) to the NW. A roughly circular area (diam. 29m approx.) enclosed by a poorly preserved earth and stone bank (Wth 1.7m; int. H 0.4m) with no evidence of an entrance feature or outer fosse. The interior was heavily overgrown making detailed examination impossible. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
