Description
In elevated area, bisected by road with arable land to N and margin of pasture to S. No visible surface trace. Depicted as oval area (dims.) on 1840 OS 6-inch map and shown on GSI AP (Ref. S.656/5) dated 1974 as roughly circular area of differential growth bisected by road (long-axis WNW-ESE). Road (TS069-082----) located c. 70m to SE. Description
In pasture, adjoining enclosure, possible (TS069-081----) to S. Identified during field inspection (03/04/2007). Slight visible surface trace of rectangular area (dims. 36m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by levelled scarp (Wth 4m; H 0.4m) best preserved at S (L 26m), W (L 36m) and N (L 28m) sides. Scarp (L 38m; Wth 4m; H 0.2m) along E-side is only slightly visible as it blends into the prevalent W-facing slope.
