• TS059-009 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In improved pasture, on a gentle W-facing slope. A circular area (c. 28m E-W; c. 22m N-S) defined by scarp (Wth 1.6-1.7m; H 1.15-1.95m) and external fosse (Wth 4.45m; D 0.55m) visible from WNW-SSW. The scarp is most substantial in the SSW-W where it abuts a stream. The northern half of interior is obscured by dense vegetation. A field drain, running c. NE-SW, enters the fosse at the ENE. • TS059-011 Enclosure
  Description

  In poorly drained, gently undulating pasture. A sub-oval area (dims. c. 35m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE) defined by the remains of a low bank (Wth 2.9m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.1m) in the SE and NW quadrants and a shallow external fosse (Wth 4.2-5.3m; D 0.05-0.35m) from NW-SE and SW-W. The bank is reduced to scarp (Wth 1.1m; H 0.75m) from SW-NW and could not be seen NNW-SE due to dense thickets of whitethorn and briar. The fosse is partially truncated by field boundary which runs NNE-SSW along the SE quadrant and another which runs NW-SE along the SW quadrant. The interior is completely impenetrable due to dense overgrowth of whitethorn and briars. An enclosure (TS059-012----) is located c. 80m to the S. • TS059-012 Enclosure
  Description

  In poorly drained, undulating pasture, on a SSE-facing slope. An oval area (dims. c. 40m WNW-ESE; c. 28m NNE-SSW) defined by scarp (Wth 1.2m; H 0.3m), intervening fosse (Wth 3.55m; D 0.3m), external bank (overall Wth 6.45m; Wth on top 3.8m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.3m) from N-SE and reduced to scarp (Wth 0.9m; H 0.9m) in the NW quadrant and an external fosse (Wth 5.9m; D 0.2m) NW-E, which is obscured by overgrowth from E-SE and S-NW and is possibly backfilled SE-S. The inner bank is levelled from W-NNE. There is a modern gap (Wth 2m) in the bank in the N sector. The SW quadrant could not be accessed due to dense overgrowth. • TS059-039 Enclosure
  Description

  In poorly drained, undulating pasture, on a low ridge overlooking a stream to the E. A circular area (dims. 21m N-S; 20m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 1.7-1.75m; H 0.5-0.75m) and an external fosse (Wth 3.35-4.15m; D 0.15-0.25m) from SSE-NE, though it is best defiend SSE-SSW. A linear, man-made channel (Wth 2m; D 0.05-0.2m; long axis ESE-WNW) intercepts the fosse at the SE and SW. There is an entrance (Wth 3.5m) at the ESE where there is a ramp into the level interior. • TS059-178 Barrow - ring-barrow
  Description

  In wet undulating hummocky terrain with a river flowing c. 90m to the SW, in pasture. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 10m), which appears to have an internal fosse, visible as a cropmark on satellite imagery (Google Earth satellite imagery, 18 November 2018), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère. Its size and morphology suggest that this is a possible ring-barrow.
