  Description

  Situated on a low E-W rise of ground in undulating countryside. A raised circular area (diam. 29m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 1.2m at E; 2.5m at W) and an external fosse visible at E only with a possible causewayed entrance also at E. A possible outer bank is visible at SE only. A modern road truncates the raised interior at W on a N-S axis. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
