  Description

  Situated on a small hillock, in rough pasture, with extensive views to N, NE and E and overlooked by higher ground to SE and S. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork. Shown on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a long oval-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1973 as a raised circular-shaped area (dims. 35m NE-SW; 28m NW-SE) defined by a steep scarp (H 3-4m) with no evidence of an enclosing rounding fosse. The interior is irregular, rising unevenly towards the centre with cultivation ridges running N-S across the surface.   Description

  Situated on elevated ground, in pasture, with limited views of the surrounding landscape. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a large circular-shaped earthwork. Shown on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a subcircular-shaped earthwork. Bivallate ringfort described in 1973 as a roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 26m) enclosed by a bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The bank (ext. H 2-3m) is fairly steep on the exterior and the intervening fosse is shallow. There is a low outer bank. The interior of the earthwork is quite uneven and is obscured by vegetation.   Description

  Situated on top of a low rise, in undulating pasture, with good views to W and S. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a faint roughly square-shaped enclosure. Not depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map. Monument described in 1979 as a faint arc of a low scarp around the top of a natural rise. The scarp is traceable from SSW-W. There is a slight depression in the side of the rise at SW and another small depression in the top of the rise at SW, which may be backfilled gravel pits. Levelled monument is not visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography. the feature depicted on the 1837 ed.
