  Description

  Situated in a slight dip in the ground in level pasture with Dungolman River 240m to E. Possible mound barrow (WM016-033----) 120m to SW. Possible barrow site identified as a circular vegetation mark different in colour from the rest of the field and consisting of a low mound or natural rock outcrop (diam. 6m E-W; 4.5m N-S; H 0.3m) with no evidence of an external fosse.   Description

  Situated on level pasture with possible mound barrow (WM016-032----) 120m to NE. Dungolman River 320m to E. Possible barrow identified as a circular vegetation mark different in colour from the rest of the field and consisting of a low circular shaped mound (diam. 8m E-W; 7m N-S; H c. 0.7m) of earth and stone with no external fosse. • WM016-034 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Situated on low lying wet land. River Dungolman 45m to E, which forms the townland boundary with Calliaghstown (Rathconrath By.). A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 45m N-S; 48m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank from S-N-NE, and by field fences on its E and SE sides. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as an enclosure planted with trees, it appears that this possible monument has undergone a fair amount of modification/landscaping in the past. The interior rises to a natural round hump inside the bank in the E quadrant. Not depicted as an antiquity on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. Shown as a tree plantation on the 1838 ed. OS 6-inch map and as a polygonal-shaped field on the revised 1914 ed. OS 6-inch map.
