  Description

  Situated on a natural hillock in gently undulating pasture-land with good views in all directions. Ringfort (WM008-019----) 200m to SE. This site has been almost completely levelled, now visible only as a band of vegetation (Wth 4m). Depicted as a sub-rectangular shaped area (approx. diam. 42m N-S; 46m E-W) on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. The interior has vague traces of two rectangular hut sites (WM008-016001-/016002-). Cultivation ridges aligned NNW-SSE run across the interior of the monument. A gap (Wth 4.5m) in the band of vegetation at WNW may represent an entrance. This site is clearly visible as a cropmark on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.   Description

  Situated on an elevated natural rise in gently undulating pasture-land, with excellent views to NW & SE. Earthwork (WM008-018----) 270m to SE. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 25m N-S; 20m E-W) enclosed by a well preserved earthen bank and slight external fosse. The entrance at NE is represented by a gap (Wth 2.5m) and causeway (Wth 3.2m; H 0.25m) across the fosse. The interior rises towards the centre.   Situated on a slight elevated rise in gently undulating countryside, with excellent views in all directions. Ringfort (WM008-017----) 270m to NW. Depicted as an oval shaped enclosure on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map. This site has been levelled. Now visible as an oval shaped area (approx. diam. 36m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a band of vegetation (Wth 4m). Some burnt stones visible nearby in the plough-soil.   Situated on a prominent natural rise in gently undulating land, with excellent views to the NW, NNE & E. Ringfort (WM008-019---) 175m to NNW. A raised sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 18m N-S; 20m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank and external fosse. The interior rises towards the centre. A sub-rectangular shaped hut site (WM008-020001-) is visible in the S quadrant of the interior. A low earthen bank (max.   Description

  Situated on a prominent natural rise in pasture-land with good views in all directions. Ringfort (WM008-019---) 380m to WNW. Ringfort (WM008-020---) 350m to SW. A raised roughly oval shaped area (approx. dims. 30m NW-SE; 15m NE-SW) enclosed by a poorly preserved fragmentary earthen bank. The interior contains several quarry holes and upcast spoil heaps.
