Description
Located at the summit of Black Rock Mountain. There is a cairn (diam. 12m; H 0.7-2.6m) composed of large stones (dims. c. 1m x 0.5m x 0.35m) with no evidence of kerbing or other structures. It may have been erected to mark a boundary between townlands. Cairn (WX009-011002-) is immediately to the S. Cairn (WX009-012----) is c. 25m to the NE. Description
Situated just off the summit of Black Rock Mountain. Th is is an oblong cairn (dims 18.5m NE-SW; 7.3m NW-SE; H 1.6-2m) composed of large granite boulders (dims c. 1.5m x 0.5m x 0.5m). It may have been erected to mark a boundary between townlands. The cairns (WX009-011001-, WX009-011002-) are c. 30m to the SW. Description
Marked as irregular enclosure on 1841 OS 6-inch map, and situated on a S-facing slope. Bank incorporated into field fence SE-W (diam. c. 30m). An entrance at S, probably modern, is now blocked.
