  Description

  Situated to the NE of the centre of a ringfort (WI038-005001-). A long, rectangular depression (Wth 1.5m; D 0.7m) running from W-E for 6m and terminating in a circular depression (diam. 3m; D 1m) may mark the site of a souterrain. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). • WI038-005001 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Situated on a gentle W-facing slope on the N edge of steep-sided ravine. Circular area (diam. 25.5m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; H 1-1.4m) and an external fosse (Wth 1.5-1.8m; D 0.4-0.6m). No indication of an entrance. Possible collapsed souterrain (WI038-005----) in the interior to NE of centre. A triangular annexe (max. dims. 10m x 10m) is attached to the fort at the S and is truncated at the W by a field boundary. It is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.5m) and an external fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 0.4m). • WI038-006 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Situated on a gentle SE-facing slope. Oval area (diam. 30.5m NW-SE; 37.5m NE-SW) defined by an earth and stone bank with drystone facing (Wth 2.8m; int. H 0.4-1.3m; ext. H 0.7-1.4m). There is an external fosse (Wth 3m; D 1-1.3m) most clearly defined at the N but also discernible at the S. A well-formed entrance feature at the NW may be original, while two other gaps at the SE and ESE apear to be modern. There are no internal features.
