  Description

  On S facing slope in area of improved pasture. Kinahan (1884, 224-6) noted a stone ('Stone A') at this location in a field which was known as 'fort field'. Kinahan described the stone as 'about 5 feet by 5.3 feet, and standing 3.3 feet high' with 11 cup marks. The field was cleared of stone when inspected by ASI in 1990, however a stone approximately the size of that recorded by Kinahan was noted in the NE field boundary but no cup marks could be seen on the exposed surfaces.   Description

  On S facing slope in area of improved pasture. Kinahan (1884, 224-6) noted a stone ('Stone B') at this location in a field which was known as 'fort field'. Kinahan described the stone as 'a thick granite flag which seems to have been placed by man in its present horizontal position. Its surface is very much weathered causing some of the cups to join one into the other'. The field was cleared of stone when inspected by ASI in 1990 and this stone was not located.   Description

  Situated on a gentle SE-facing slope. The 'Lis' mentioned by Kinahan (1884, 224) is a circular mound (diam. 21m; H 1.2m at N (upslope) - 3.5m at S (downslope)) once planted with large trees of which only the stumps survive; now being replanted with conifers. The top of the mound is flat (diam. 14m) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In the vicinity of this block there are others, but on none of them were cups remarked. Architectural heritage

• Ballykean House, country house, 1755–1765 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached five-bay two-storey over part basement country house, built 1760. The ground floor and first floor appear to be split-level. The house is finished in render. The Venetian doorcase has panelled double doors with sidelights and a semi-circular spider's web fanlight. Window openings are flat-headed with six over six timber sash frames. The hipped roof is set behind a parapet with a corbelled coping and is finished with natural slate and cast-iron rainwater goods. Chimneystacks have plain caps and clay pots. The country house is set within a small well wooded demesne.
