Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope. Possible circular enclosure defined by a low arc of earth and stone bank (L 12m; Wth 2.4m; H 0.7-0.9m) at the SE; some evidence for outer revetment of stone. Description
Situated on a marked SW-facing slope. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) mentioned in the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 128) and indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. Description
On a SE-facing slope overlooking Potters River. A scatter of struck flint including some possibly Later Mesolithic material. Another small scatter of flints of non-specific date was found further. Description
A granite block (48cm x 52cm) with a circular bowl (diam. 27cm; max. D 10cm). The surface around the circumference of the bowl is defaced. Moved from the church site at Castletimon (see WI036-009005- for original location record) sometime after 1990 to its present location beside the steps of 'Brittas Church' where it is embedded in cement which has '2000' etched into it. Description
Detached nine-bay two-storey coastguard station, built c.1870, now in use as a residential school. The coastguard station is finished in render with block and start dressings. To the north-west corner is a c.1970s glazed porch. To the south elevation there is a hipped roof c.1970s glazed sunroom. Window openings are flat-headed with mainly two over two timber sash frames. The hipped roof is finished with natural slate and uPVC rainwater goods. The coastguard station is slightly set back from the road behind a low rubble wall; it overlooks the sea.
