Description
Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope. Oval enclosure (dims. 26m N-S x 21m E-W) defined by a very poorly preserved earth and stone bank (Wth c. 2m; H 0.3-0.5m), shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. No indication of an external fosse, entrance or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). On a small level platform c. 25m in diameter on a gentle SW facing slope; there is a more marked SW slope immediately below the site. In improved pasture. Description
Situated on a marked NE-facing slope. Circular enclosure (diam. 14.5m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.3-1.9m; H 0.4-1m) revetted by a boulder kerb. There is an additional low revetting wall against the inner face of the bank at SW (upslope) and outer face at the NE (downslope). Stone-faced entrance (Wth 1m) at the SE.
