Description
National Monument in state guardianship No. 417. Situated on a low rise above a steep E-facing slope. A simple rectangular church (dims. 12.15m x 7.8m) with well-built walls of sandstone, granite and shale blocks of various sizes, substantially restored (H1.5-4.5m). The E gable has antae but the W end of the church appears to have been extended and the antae removed. The S wall has a flat lintelled doorway, and there is a small round-arched window towards the E end. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008 This monument is subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 129/1940).

Description
Detached multiple-bay two-storey Tudoresque former country house, built in 1835, used as a golf and sports club in the mid 1900's and is now in use as a school. The building is constructed in granite with moulded string courses and drip mouldings, and comprised of a series of gabled wings. The panelled door is part glazed and is set within a Tudor-arched opening; it has decorative sidelights and a small balcony with pierced stone baluster over. Window openings are largely flat-headed with stone mullions and transoms, and have replacement top-hung uPVC windows. There is an oriel window to the front elevation with a castellated parapet an hipped roof. The pitched roof is finished with natural slate and cast-iron rainwater goods. Chimneystacks are ashlar granite with boldly corbelled caps and clay pots. The building is set within a large mature garden.

Description
Detached two-bay gable-fronted single-storey former gate lodge, built c.1835. The house is constructed in granite rubble. The panelled front door is set within a gabled glazed timber porch. Window openings are generally flat-headed and some have chamfered corners. Glazing to the main house has diamond panes while the porch has plain fixed frames, and the rear addition has modern top-hung frames. The pitched roof is finished with natural slate and cast-iron rainwater goods. The chimneystack is ashlar granite with boldly corbelled cap and clay pots. The building is set immediately behind a large curved gate screen. This has paired granite gate pillars which are square and have pyramidal caps. The railings are cast-iron and are set on low granite walls and there are matching cast-iron gates.
