Description
National Monument in state ownership No. 262. Situated on a small level platform overlooking a marked NE-facing slope with steep ground uphill to the SW. A nave and chancel church (L 10.8m; Wth 5.9m) with walls of irregular uncoursed masonry (H 1.5-2.5m; Wth 0.85m). The gables are substantially intact. The door in the N wall, which is slightly W of the centre, splays inwards and parts of the cut granite jambs survive. There are simple round-headed windows in the E and W gables and a single niche occurs in the S wall towards the W end. The church has been substantially conserved. A rectangular area of rubble and mortar (dims. 4m x 2m) immediately E of the church may represent the foundations of another building. The church is known as Raithín a' Chluig, or 'little rath of the bell'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). A series of pits, containing charcoal and human and animal bone, enclosed a central burnt area which also had inclusions of burnt and crushed bone, were excavated here in 2001 (Excavation Licence 01E0252). Description
Detached two-bay two-storey International Style house, built c.1930. The house is finished in plain render and has a string course dividing ground and first floors. The front door is set on the north-western corner and is set at forty-five degrees. Window openings are all flat-headed and have top hung metal replacement frames. The roof is flat and is concealed behind a high parapet; the northern face of the parapet and a moulding below are both stepped in a style slightly reminiscent of the Art Deco movement. The house is prominently positioned at the corner of Putland and Edward Roads.

Semi-detached two-bay two-storey house built c.1875. The house is finished with lined render with quoins and fine moulded surrounds to openings. The panelled front door is framed with unusual paired pilasters and paired console style brackets which support a projecting cornice; above is a plain fanlight and all is set within a semi-circular headed opening. Window openings are all flat-headed with six over six timber sash frames. A high parapet all but obscures the pitched, double-piled, roof which is covered with slate. The chimneystack is rendered and has a plain chamfered top and clay pots. The house sits in a short cul-de-sac behind tall hedges.

Description
Detached six-bay two-storey former house, built c.1840, converted to a school in 1920 and now in use as an adult education centre. The building is finished with unpainted lined replacement render dating from c.1920. The panelled pair of front doors have a plain fanlight and all are set within a semi-circular headed opening with moulded part surround; this is within a flat-roofed projecting porch. To the west side is a projecting chamfered wing. All windows are flat-headed and most have six over six uPVC frames. The hipped roof is slated and is all but obscured by a high castellated parapet of modern design; chimneystacks are rendered with plain copestones and tall clay pots. To the west is a large ‘T’-shaped c.1950s addition, while farther to the west are even later additions dating from c.1980. The building is set in large open grounds to the south of Putland Road.
