  Description

  The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Granite stone with subrectangular cross-section (H 1.4m; girth 2.3m; 5 grooves). Now lying against field bank. According to local information recorded by Price (1938/39, Notebook 17), skulls found during digging of ditches in vicinity. Aligned E-W.

  Granite stone with sub-rectangular cross-section (H 1.4m; girth 2.3m; 5 grooves). Now lying against field bank. According to local information recorded by Price (1938/39, Notebook 17), skulls found during digging of ditches in vicinity. The stone was aligned E-W in its original location (CW004-001001-).
