  Description

  The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 16 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly Historic Monument No. HM003511, this monument was entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on the 22 December 1980. Foundations of rectangular structure (12.2m x 7.3m) visible in uncultivated area (c. 14m E-W x 8m N-S) built against slope at SE. Two crosses and holed stone stand on summit of natural mound - see CW004-012003-, CW004-012004- and CW004-012005-. See also ogham stone (CW004-011----) and holy well (CW004-010----). Associated with a graveyard (CW004-012002-).

  Description

  Depicted on the 1839 'OS 6-inch' map as a rectangular area (map dims. c. 60m E-W; c. 35m N-S) with outline of church (CW004-012001-) indicated in eastern half. The 1908 OS '6-inch map' depicts it as a sub-circular raised area and notes that it is 'disused'. Two crosses and holed stone stand on summit (see CW004-012003-, CW004-012004- and CW004-012005-).   Historic Monument No. HM003511, this monument was entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on the 22 December 1980. A granite, undecorated, solid-wheeled cross (H 1.92m; Wth across arms 0.87m) with edge mouldings and slightly projecting arms, set in rectangular base (L 0.71m; Wth 0.6m).   Description

  Historic Monument No. HM003511, this monument was entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on the 22 December 1980. A late medieval limestone cross with solid wheel and arms broken. A gothic Christ is depicted on E face. Probably originally stood in cross base (CW004-013----) beside road to NE, now stands in large earthfast granite boulder.
