  One of two ring-ditches visible on AP taken by G.F. Barrett (GB89. W17) (see also CW016-109----). The surrounding area was archaeologically tested (Excavation Licence No. 02E0351) to facilitate a housing development in 2002.   Description

  The area surrounding two ring-ditches (CW016-108---- and CW016-109----) visible on an AP taken by G.F. Barrett (GB89. W17) was archaeologically tested (Excavation Licence 02E0351) to facilitate a housing development in 2002. The remains of field systems were noted to the N and S of the enclosures (see also CW016-119----). No artefacts or datable material were found. (Stafford and Benen, 2002). By 2006 this area was stripped of soil without archaeological supervision (Stafford 2006, 4). The area is now occupied by a housing estate so it must be assumed that no remains of this part of the field system exist here.   Detached five-bay two-storey house, c. 1755, on a U-shaped plan with gables and bow to end. Extended to rear, c. 1840. Interior retains some original fittings including lugged architraves to openings and open-well staircase. Stable complex, c. 1840, to rear.

  Canal lock, c. 1790. Replacement gates, c. 1990. Remains of detached three-bay two-storey lock-keeper's house, c. 1790. Now derelict.

• Lodge Mills, mill (water), 1820–1825 · Regional interest
  Description

  Seven-bay seven-storey mill, dated 1824, with conduited sluices and mill race. In use as a warehouse. Group of detached outbuildings, c. 1875, to site.

  Three-bay double-height Classical style post office, c. 1915, with modillion cornice, full-width pediment and three-bay range to side.

• Saint Mary's Church (Dunleckny), school, 1830–1840 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached three-bay single-storey granite ashlar Classical style former school, c. 1835, on a T-shaped plan with Tuscan doorcase, bracketed eaves and teacher's block to rear. Now in use as hall with teacher's block in private residential use.

  Description

  Detached Gothic Revival Church of Ireland church, c. 1845, on a cruciform plan with diagonal buttresses having finials and three-stage tower having crenellated parapet and finials. Interior retains wall monuments, stained glass and organ.

  Description

  Detached single-cell over raised base Classical-style courthouse, built 1826, with prostyle tetrastyle Ionic portico. Renovated, 1992, to accommodate use as library. Designed by Daniel Robertson (d. 1849).

  Description

  Terraced four-bay two-storey Tudor Revival house with half-dormer attic, c. 1840, with hoodmouldings to window openings. Renovated, c. 1890, with timber shopfront inserted to ground floor.

  Remains of detached three-storey mill building, c. 1775. Extended to rear, c. 1850. Built by the Rudkins of Corris House and reputedly the first mill in Bagenalstown. Now in ruins.
