Described locally as having int. diam. of c. 28m enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m, max. diam. c. 40m). Levelled, but sometimes visible as cropmark. Possibly a ringfort. Aerial photograph (GB89.AH.29) shows cropmark of a sub-circular enclosure defined by a fosse (Barrett 1989).

  Description

  Detached five-bay three-storey farmhouse, c. 1810, with round-headed door opening having stone doorcase, projecting stair bay and two-storey kitchen wing to rear. Renovated and refenestrated, c. 1990, with projecting porch added. Interior retains early joinery, some decorative plasterwork and oratory, c. 1850.
