  Description

  Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 62m) enclosed by a wide, low bank from WSW-N. From N-E the site is bounded by a tributary of the Upper Inny River and has been much defaced as a consequence of river drainage works. From E-S-WSW the perimeter has been levelled but its outline is still identifiable. Original entrance not recognisable. Internal area is divided into two unequal portions by a field boundary running ESE-WSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). • Ballinrink Bridge, bridge, 1850–1890 · Regional interest
  Description

  Single-span limestone road bridge, built c.1870, spanning Upper Inny River, and incorporating remains of earlier bridge. Random-coursed squared and snecked rock-faced spandrels, parapet and coping. Regular rock-faced voussoirs to arch ring with dressed underside and arris, squared rubble barrel on large squared-rubble abutments with impost course and skewback. Flanked by single buttres slanting to base to north-east. Partially-rendered wall to north-east from earlier bridge with segmental arch having irregular limestone voussoirs.
