  Description

  In tillage, on SE-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace of site. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank and external fosse in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W409). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 25) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 31yd) in W. Murphy's land. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
