  Description

  Two-storey house of 18th-/early-19th century appearance. Entrance front (NE) of 5 bays; central door ope with rectangular fanlight; sash windows with glazing bars on 1st floor; two tripartite windows on ground floor which are probably insertions. Gable-ended with chimneys on gables; attic window In SE gable; brick cornice under eaves. Gabled addition to rear, at SE end. According to owner, built in 1720s. Range of 1-storey farm buildings to S with pigeon nesting boxes. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. • CO032-026 Fulacht fia
  Description

  In pasture, on barely discernible platform (c. 28m E-W). The platform is indicated on the First Edition of the OS maps as a hachured enclosure. Irregular spread of burnt material (11m N-S; 9m E-W). Probably the levelled fulacht fiadh recorded on P. O'Callaghan's land by Bowman (1934, 26). Enclosure (CO026-273----) lies just over 113m to the SW.   Description

  On a broad SE slope. A circular enclosure (overall diam 52m) identified from aerial imagery appearing as a low platform or mound with a broad levelled bank and concave interior. First reported by Jean Charles Caillére and seen on Google Earth maps on the 24/01/2018. Also visible on the Digital Globe when compiled.
