  Description

  In pasture, D-shaped yard enclosed by stone-faced earthen bank. Lines of low, uninscribed stones; earliest headstones date to 19th century; still in occasional use. • CO139-020002 Bullaun stone
  Description

  In the graveyard (CO139-020001-) of Kilcarriel church (CO139-020003-). According to local information, a bullaun stone was noted in the 1980s to the W of the church and on the W bank of the stream that flows through the graveyard. This bullaun stone could not be located in 2008 and it is likely to have been covered with decaying vegetation and overgrowth. • CO139-020003 Church
  Description

  In graveyard (CO139-020001-) ruins of late-medieval church. Rectangular structure (14.62m E-W; 7.44m N-S) missing upper parts of E and W gables. Surrounds of door in S wall gone. Windows near E end S wall and in centre of E gable; flat-headed light (S wall) with splayed and lintelled embrasures. Church known locally as "Cill Cheangail" and possibly identified with parish of "Cellmolaggi" mentioned in taxation list 1199 (O'Donoghue 1986, 6).
