  Description

  In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace of site. Faint trace of circular enclosure visible as cropmark in aerial photograph (GSIAP, R721). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 46) as levelled fort on Mr Bresnahan's land, now 'scarcely discernible'. Second ringfort (CO023-134---) in same field c. 30m to N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Levelled; no visible surface trace of site. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank in aerial photograph (GSIAP, R721). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 46) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 40yd) on Mr Bresnahan's land. Ringfort (CO023-133---) in same field c. 30m to S.
