In pasture, on gentle NW-facing slope. Circular heavily overgrown area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.7m; ext. H 2.1m); external fosse (D 0.5m). In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with lime kiln on SE side. Levelled; no visible surface trace. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 332) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 37yd) on Mrs. Singleton's land. Description
In pasture. Depicted as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 22m) enclosed within small square field (c. 35m x c. 35m) on 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Site impossible to survey due to overgrowth and due to rubble dumped in interior and on external bank face. Bank visible to NE enclosing interior. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 332) as double-ramparted fort in Mr Ml O'Flynn's; inner rampart levelled (diam. c. 33yd); outer rampart 'practically levelled'. Description
In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured arc of bank W->N on 1937 OS 6-inch map, immediately outside and skirting curving field fence. Arc formed by two heavily overgrown earthen banks (inner bank: int. H 0.7m; outer bank: ext. H 0.4m) survives W->NE with intervening fosse and shallow external fosse (D 0.25m); low rise continues line of inner bank NE->ESE. Intervening fosse inaccessible due to overgrowth. Inner bank incorporated into field boundary system W->NE. Locally known as remains of fort. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 332) as single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 28yd) in Cornelius O'Keeffe's land; bank c. 4ft high; fosse infilled.
