  In pasture, on S-facing slope. Arc formed by field boundary S->NNE on 1938 OS 6-inch map; interior planted with trees. Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to Hartnett (1939, 235), ringfort 'levelled, but a raised circular platform about 100 feet in diameter can still be traced'.   Description

  In SW quadrant of ringfort (CO061-133001-). Investigated by J.P. McCarthy in 1978 following collapse. Stone-built chamber (min. L 1.6m; Wth 0.91m; H 0.9m; long axis NW-SE), partially infilled with soil and stones; walls steeply corbelled. Passage or creepway at NW end (min. L 0.95m; Wth 0.43m; H 0.33m), at right angles to chamber, blocked with stones; not possible to explore beyond this. Investigator suggested that infill was deliberate and that souterrain is either a single chamber with a passage at right angles or is L-shaped with creepway to other unexplored chambers.
