  Small, roughly-square mid/late 19th-century kiln on E side of road. Front elevation (S) (H 3.4m; Wth 3.8m) has lintelled recess (H 1.65m; Wth 1.1m; D1.7m), with sloping slabs immediately inside front lintel. Funnel visible but inaccessible.   Adjacent to road, built into natural slope. Ivy-clad front elevation (SSW) partially collapsed; sides of lintelled recess (H 0.9m; Wth 1.1m) also collapsed.   Description

  Set adjacent to the E wall of a house, in an area of rough pasture near the N bank of the Sullane River. Two upright stones, aligned ENE-WSW, stand 0.15m apart at the base and measure 0.85m in overall length. The ENE stone (0.45m x 0.2m; H 1.15m) leans slightly to the ENE. The upper portion of the WSW stone (0.25m x 0.12m; H 1.22m) abuts the rear wall of the house. The close setting of the two stones is not typical of this monument class and the possibility that they could be the last remains of some other monument type cannot be ruled out.   Description

  This monument was reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Tony Miller on 28th January 2013. He describes it as follows: "This is a standing stone shown to me by the occupant of a nearby house. It is situated approximately 8 meters west of a small local road north of the village of Coolea. It is on the edge of a recently reclaimed field in amongst a stand of mature conifers. To the north and east are areas of extensive forestry. The land is south facing overlooking the river valley below, while behind it stretches up towards the county bounds. The stone itself is roughly rectangular in shape with a possible recent break on its eastern side. It is orientated NNE-SSW (20°-200°) and measures c. 0.95m high, c. 0.74 long and c. 0.55m in width."
