Description
Coastal kiln. Front (H 8m; Wth 4.55m) E-facing; pointed-arched recess (H 2.8m; Wth 2m). Top of kiln enclosed by ornate castellated wall with corner turrets. Funnel (diam. c. 2m) overgrown. Buttress against N wall. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
