Description
Internal diam. 30m-33.5m. An oval space enclosed by an earthen bank surviving .5m in height. It is situated on the possibly artificially levelled, crest of a drumlin and is naturally defended. Gaps to the W and S may indicate entrances. It is partially overgrown. Located on a peninsula jutting into a small tidal lake alongside two other enclosures on similar peninsulas. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Description
Internal diam. 11m. A subcircular space enclosed by an earthen bank. It is naturally defended by the slope of the hill (which may have been artificially levelled) on top of which it stands. It is very overgrown and is located on a peninsula jutting into an inlet of Donegal Bay. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
