  Description

  The circular enclosure marked as the site of a burial ground on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map no longer survives. It was situated in cultivable land and seems to have been destroyed by the building of a railway line. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' • DG103-021 Souterrain
  Description

  A previous report (NMI) indicated a souterrain consisting of two chambers linked by a passage. Chamber 1 was c. 10ft long, 4ft wide and 4ft high. The passage was 6ft long and 1ft 6in wide. Chamber 2 was 14ft long. There were some indications of a possible 'further cavity'. There are now no surface indications. The site is located in pasture with much rock outcrop. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
