  Description

  There are a number of loose stones at this site. One of them may originally have been the 'Standing Stone' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on good land sloping downhill in a N direction. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Architectural heritage

• House, 1850–1870 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1860, and now disused. Pitched natural slate roof with projecting eaves course, remains of cast-iron rainwater goods, and with raised rendered coping and rendered red brick chimneystacks to gable ends (north and south). Remains of limewash and lime render over rubble stone and red brick walls. Square-headed window openings with exposed sash boxes, stone sills and having eight-over-eight pane timber sliding sash windows to ground floor and with six-over-three pane timber sliding sash windows at first floor level. Central square-headed doorway having battened timber door and plain overlight. Set back from road in own grounds in the rural countryside to the north of Raphoe. Single-storey outbuilding and possible former house to the north-east having possible bed outshot to the south-east corner, pitched corrugated-metal roof, partially rendered rubble stone walls, and square-headed openings to the west elevation with remains of timber fittings.

  Description

  Double-arched bridge carrying road over small unnamed stream, built c. 1800, having V-profile rubble stone cutwater to the central pier to both the upstream and downstream elevations (north and south). Round-headed arches having dressed rubble stone voussoirs; rubble stone construction to the arch barrel. Coursed rubble stone construction to pier, spandrels, and parapets with rendered coping over parapets. Some damage to parapet to the north. Sides now partially overgrown with vegetation. Tarmacadam deck with grass verges. Located in the rural countryside to the north of Raphoe.
