- DU025-002 Megalithic tomb - portal tomb
Description
Situated on sloping pasture above the Owendoher river valley. A single chambered tomb facing NW is formed by a massive granite roofstone (L 6.3m; Wth 3.15m; D 1.3m) which rests on a broken portal (H 2.44m). The other portal lies close by (L 4.4m; Wth 1.1m) (Borlase 1897, 2, 282-5; Ó Nualláin 1983, 82, 90; Turner 1983, No. 6). Description
Situated on a gentle E facing slope in undulating pasture. A cursus consisting of a u-shaped earthwork is visible on an aerial photograph aligned approximately NW–SE; the curve of the U is at the SE. It is defined by a low bank and external fosse that encloses an area c. 125m by 45m. The precise nature of this earthwork is unknown and the possibility that it could be the remnants of a cursus-type monument cannot be excluded. Description
Detached five-bay two-storey over basement country house, c.1830, containing fabric of former farm house, c.1700. Rendered, ruled and lined walls. Full-height bow to north-west side. Timber sash windows throughout. Projecting Doric tetrastyle porch with full entablature and timber panelled door. Hipped slate roofs behind parapet. Rendered chimney stacks. Stable courtyard to south-west, entered through carriageway, with a range of outbuildings including façade of former stables and single-storey polygonal building with original timber casement windows in ogee openings.

Description
Detached three-bay single-storey classical style gate lodge, c.1830, with shallow central pedimented breakfront. Refurbished and extended, c.1990. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with granite entablature. Square granite columns to corners of original building. Granite pediment and columns to breakfront. Replacement timber sash windows. Replacement timber panelled door. Hipped slate roof with central rendered chimney stack. Extension to rere in a similar style. Set inside entrance screen comprising cast-iron gates and gate posts, flanking stone piers and rendered walls.

Description
Detached seven-bay two-storey country house, c.1700, on a rectangular plan originally three-bay two-storey with two-bay two-storey flush end bays. Extended, c.1830. Sold, 1996. Hipped and bow-ended slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks on slate hung bases having stepped capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered red brick header bond eaves. Roughcast walls on cut-granite chamfered cushion course on plinth. Segmental-headed central door opening with five cut-granite steps, cut-granite block-and-start surround centred on keystone framing glazed timber panelled door having fanlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six (ground floor) or six-over-three (first floor) timber sash windows. Square-headed window openings in tripartite arrangement (west) with cut-granite sills, timber mullions, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six (ground floor) or six-over-three (first floor) timber sash windows having two-over-two (ground floor) or two-over-one (first floor) sidelights. Set in landscaped grounds.
