Description
On a slight rise in otherwise level grassland. Very poorly preserved circular rath (D 45m) defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. Possible entrance at E. Description
On S bank of the Black River in grassland. An oval water-filled pool (NE-SW 8m, NW-SE 5m) fed by a spring which, according to local tradition, never dries up. A second well lies c. 20m to NE and is known locally as the 'small well'. It consists of a circular hollow (D 3.5m) which, though dry at the time of visit, is used as a domestic well. Description
On a hillock in grassland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 35m). Apart from a vegetation band at SE, outside of which runs a shallow fosse, no visible surface trace survives. Description
In level grassland. Well-preserved quadrangular rath (E-W 40.5m, N-S 34m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse and outer bank survive from SE through W to N; a field bank overlies the outer bank at S. Possible entrance at SW.
