The plant will consist of; (i) Two storey office building (509 sq. m floor area) with connection to public sewer; (ii) single store electrical substation building (14.43 sq. m. floor area) and associated bunded transformer; (iii) 13.4m high feedstock reception building (3,806 sq. m floor area) incorporating; airlock lobby, feedstock reception area, processing and mixing areas, pasteurisation vessels and ancillary heating technology, wash down area, feedstock quarantine area, storage areas, workshop area, hygiene facilities, digestate separation area and process wastewater tanks; (iv) bunded tank farm (14,805 sq. m) containing; 2 no. pump house buildings (216 sq. m) and delivery pipework serving feedstock reception building, 8 no. digester vessels (each of c.15m in height and c.5, 120m3 in capacity) and 4 no. storage vessels (each of c.15m in height and c.5,120m3) fitted with gas collection roofs/domes, stairwell towers and gantries, bunded digestate dispatch bays; (v) biogas purification plant on raised concrete apron (vi) Carbon dioxide processing building (10.44m in height, 138 sq. m floor area) containing treatment plant and 4 no. outdoor storage tanks and dispatch area; (vii) Odour control system comprising air scrubber units, carbon adsorption bed and associated stack of up to 23m in height; (viii) energy centre, containing combined heat and power (CHP) plant and 2 no. standby boilers with exhaust stacks (16.4m in height); (ix) Biogas ground flare stack (c. 8m in height) and gas booster station; (x) weighbridge with secure lift barrier and all ancillary development. The development includes for construction of a new entrance to the site from N18/458 with associated signage and an access road (area of 1.734ha) from the new entrance to the Biogas plant. Permission is being sought for 10 years and is a development that is for the purpose of an activity requiring an Industrial Emissions Licence from the EPA.   Description

  On a slope in low-lying marshy grassland. Circular rath (diam. 27.9m), in fair condition, defined by a bank obscured by overgrowth. No visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives from ENE to SE. A roughly E-W running field wall cuts through the rath at SSE and WSW and the area to the S of it is densely overgrown with trees and bushes.   Description

  Detached multiple-bay two-storey outbuilding, built c.1820. Stands to north side of concreted yard associated with Ballynamantan House, latter now demolished. Pitched slate roof with limestone chimneystacks and eaves course, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Coursed rubble limestone walls. Elliptical carriage arch to front elevation, having tooled stone voussoirs and double-leaf timber battened door, and square-headed doorways with tooled voussoirs and timber battened doors, and square-headed window openings with timber louvers. Pitycheing door to west gable. West side of yard formed by rubble limestone wall having crenellations and elliptical carriage arch with tooled limestone voussoirs. Detached five-bay two-storey house, built 1973 to south. Road entrance has round-plan cast-iron gate piers and recent wrought-iron gate.
