On a rise in gently undulating grassland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (D c. 55m) cut by the td. boundary at E and SSW. Description
Freestanding Church of Ireland church, having four-bay nave of c.1830, and earlier three-stage tower of c.1740. Roof now lacking its structure and covering, and has ashlar chimneystacks to nave gables with string courses. Rendered rubble limestone walls. Tower is very simple with lime-rendered walls, string-courses between stages, and crenellated parapet. Lancet windows to nave and wider Tudor-arch east window opening flanked by lancet windows, all with limestone dressings. Tower has small window to second stage and four segmental-headed windows to third, larger window over doorway now blocked up. Trefoil lights in west end of nave, flanking tower. Doorway to tower is late medieval and has been removed from an older building. Early nineteenth-century pointed doorway between south side of tower and nave, now also blocked up. Church stands in graveyard bounded by rubble limestone wall, having entrance gate to west comprising double-leaf wrought-iron gate supported on octagonal-plan cast-iron piers and flanked by ashlar limestone walling.
