  Description

  Internal diameter 32m N-S, 25m E-W Clearly marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a circular enclosure, this site is also marked on the 1939 map, though not as clearly defined. A quarry lies immediately E of this site. Today this possible rath has been much distorted and only survives as a sub-oval area which rises to a maximum of 2.5m above the surrounding land. From the S to E slight trace of an enclosing bank can be noted. It is c 2m wide and rises to 1.3m high externally and 1.4m above the interior. 2m NE of this site is a mound (KE010-073001-) with a depression in the centre. This feature is possibly connected to the fort. The interior is sloping NW and is at a higher level than the surrounding land. The above description is derived from C.   Marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a complete circular enclosure, on the later edition map it has been disfigured on the NW to W side by fieldbank. This site also shows up quite clearly on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1977). However, it has now been completely levelled and no surface trace remains.   Description

  Five-arch road bridge over river, built 1829, with snecked limestone ashlar walls having string courses and piers. Swept-arched openings with ashlar archivolts and U-cutwaters to both faces. Attached cast-concrete ball alley, built c. 1930, to north-west abutment.
