  Description

  In pasture, on the break of a gentle S-facing slope. The remains of a raised circular area (diam. 40m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 10m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.6m) with an intervening fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m) and an outer earthen bank (Wth 5.5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.15m) ENE-ESE. The interior slopes down from the bank to a level central area. There is an entrance (Wth c. 4m) at WNW. A limekiln (KE057-123----) is built into the bank at S. The rath is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as an embanked circular enclosure with trees lining the bank along the N and S arcs. A children's burial ground (KE057-066----) is c. 120m to the E. • KE057-066 Children's burial ground
  Description

  In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. A children's burial ground is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular area (diam. c. 25m), c. 70m E of a rath (KE057-065----), and is named 'Killeen Burial Ground'. The area has been deep ploughed and the burial ground is not visible at ground level. A field boundary indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map immediately to the W of the burial ground has been removed and another one erected further to the E now crosses the site of the burial ground. According to local information, a prostrate stone (L 1.35m; 0.35m x 0.2m) (KE057-066001-) which is now c. 40m to the E of the burial ground, stood upright c. 15m to the W of the burial ground but was moved to its present location in the 1970s/80s.   Description

  In pasture, c. 40m E of a children's burial ground (KE057-066----). A prostrate stone (dims. 0.35m x 0.2m; L 1.35m). According to local information, the stone which was formerly upright and situated c. 15m to the W of the burial ground was moved to its present location in the 1970s/80s.   Description

  In pasture, built into the S bank of a rath (KE057-065----). The front wall (Wth c. 5m; H c. 2.5m) faces S. A lintelled recess is off-centre to the left. The front and E side are built of random rubble. Collapsed material has been neatly stacked up against the W side. The funnel opening (diam. c. 1.8m) has been blocked with old farm machinery.
