  Description

  In rough hill pasture, on a steep S-facing slope. A D-shaped area (5.35m N-S), with a straight S side (L 5.2m), defined by a collapsed drystone wall, protruding (T 0.8m; H 0.3m) above the surface of the bog. The wall is best preserved on the S side where it is incorporated into an E-W field wall. The interior is raised on the S side to compensate for the hillslope and cut into the upslope on the N side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).   Description

  In rough hill pasture, on a steep S-facing slope. A section of wall (T 0.8m; H 0.45m) protrudes from the surface of the heather-covered bog and extends (c. 40m NE-SW) upslope to NE, turns gradually to the ESE for a distance of c. 25m and then continues to the edge of a river. Large stones (H 0.35m; 0.4m x 0.15m) are used in the construction of the wall. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
