In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Coombane Hill. A subrectangular area (8.8m N-S; 5m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.5m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall is best preserved at E. In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. c. 5m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.3-0.4m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall is poorly preserved along the E arc, existing only as a scatter of stones. There is an entrance (Wth 1m) at W. Another hut site (KE084-023014-) abuts the S arc. The remains of a rectangular hut site (4m N-S; 2m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.8m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall is best preserved along the N side. The wall decreases in height (H 0.4m) along the W and S sides. Loose stones are scattered along the E side. There is an entrance at E. Description
In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. A section of relict field wall (T 0.5m; H 0.4m), consisting of upright stones set at right angles to the line of the wall, protrudes intermittently above the surface of bog. The wall originates c. 25m E of a hut site (KE084-023004-) and meanders (L c. 130m) in a general W to SW direction as far as the river bank. Midway along this stretch, a N-S wall extends for a distance of c. 60m to the S where it disappears into the bog. Most of the stones are collapsed and embedded in the peat. Description
In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. An E-W section of relict field wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5-0.8m) protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall originates near the E bank of a stream and extends to the E for a distance of c. 100m and then turns to the SE before disappearing into deeper bog. Some of the upright stones are set at right angles to the line of the wall. Many of the stones have either fallen or are embedded in the peat. Description
In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain, on the W bank of a stream. A square area (4.5m E-W; 4.4m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.6m). A farm road overlies the location of the W and part of the N walls. The road has collapsed into the interior, making the interior slightly higher than the surviving walls. Description
In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. A WNW-ESE section of a field wall extends (L c. 100m) to the WNW from the W bank of a river. The wall (T 0.4m; H 0.4m) skirts the N arc of a hut site (KE084-023008-). At its W terminal this section abuts another wall (on a N-S axis) which extends to the S (L 65m) and N (L c. 90m) of the junction. The initial part of the N section extends to the N for 20m before it disappears into the bog. It re-emerges after a distance of c. 15m and continues for c. 30m before disappearing into the bog again. The collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.3m), which protrudes above the surface of the bog, consists of some upright slabs set at right angles to the line of the wall. Description
In rough pasture, between a N-S track and inside the loop of river, on the SW-facing slope of Mangertonbeg Mountain. A level semicircular area defined by dark foliage may indicate the location of the enclosure. It is indicated as a small rectangular enclosure (c. 6m NW-SE; c. 3m NE-SW) and marked 'sheepfold' on the 1846 and 1895 OS 6-inch maps. The possible enclosure is not visible at ground level. Description
In a level area of cutaway bog, on the SW-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. An exposed section of a NE-SW relict field wall (T 0.8m; H 0.4-0.6m) extends to the NE for a distance of c. 22m from the bog face (H 0.6m) at SW. The wall, which is white in colour and in a ruined condition, is set on the base clay. The wall can be further traced in the uncut bog.
