  Description

  On the N side of a minor road. A partially collapsed random rubble front wall (Wth c. 5m) facing SW retains an earthen core. Central arched recess (Wth 1.6m; D c. 1.7m) is roughly U-shaped in plan. Field fence abuts W end of front wall. Stone revetted roadside side wall. Front of kiln obscured by dump material, rear and sides overgrown. • KE068-134 Fulacht fia
  Description

  In pasture, on a S-facing slope to the N of a railway line. A fulacht fia was recorded in Mrs J. Dineen's land in the 1940s (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry) and described as semicircular and '4 feet [1.21m] in diameter & 5 feet [1.52m] high'. According to local information, burnt material was visible on the surface of this field many years ago but it is not now visible.
