Description
On the E side of Killelan, in pasture sloping steeply to S. Cultivation ridges occur in the immediate vicinity. The poorly preserved remains of a subcircular hut, revetted internally with a basal row of uprights. The drystone-faced wall encloses a rubble core. Collapse extends toward S for a distance of 6m. D: 3m. A ruined annex abuts at NE; it may have originally been conjoined. D: 2.2m. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Description
Possible promontory fort described in 2003 as follows; ‘A double wall or bank and fosse can be seen cutting off an area south of a natural swallow hole. A second headland immediately to the north has a depression running across the narrow isthmus. These were seen only from the air and could not be verified on the ground. The area is one of mountainous bog and outcropping rock. The site is overlooked by higher ground to the east' (Casey 2003, 33, no. J)'
