Description
In gently undulating pasture, atop low rise. Site depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map as hachured square area (L c. 20m) with L-shaped annex on NW and SE sides. Site has been levelled. However, now evident as sub-rectangular area (42m NNW->SSE; c. 20m WSW-ENE) defined by a low earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.65m) on NNW->SSE sides by irregular indistinct scarp on SSE->NNW side. Only evidence for L-shaped annex is low scarped edge (H 0.2m) running ESE for c. 20m from grounds of recently erected dwelling house, c. 40m to NE of sub-rectangular enclosure. Description
In pasture, on SW-facing slope overlooking marshy area. Roughly circular area (40m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by stone bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.6m). Bank best preserved along N arc; incorporated into field boundary system NE->SE. Interior, under rough pasture, slopes down gently to SW. Uprooted trees dumped along inner bank face. Description
In pasture, atop limestone hillock, on E side of stream; immediately on W side of disused farmyard. Roughly oval area (c. 25m E-W; c. 35m N-S) enclosed by dry-stone wall (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 2.3m; Wth top 2m). Wall has vertical external face but sloping internal face. No opening in wall apparent. Enclosing element abutted by field boundaries to WSW, SE and NE; field boundary which formerly abutted to NNW has been removed. Description
In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Depicted as sub-rectangular enclosure ( ) on 1923 OS 6-inch map. Partially levelled; sub-rectangular area (40m NE-SW) enclosed by kink in dry-stone boundary wall (H 1.35m) W->NE and by modern wire fence NE->W. Gateway through fence at SW leads to galvanised hay shed against enclosing wall. Not for inclusion in the inventory as depiction on OS 6-inch map not definitely suggestive of archaeological site. Description
In pasture, on S-facing slope, in area of outcropping limestone. Circular area (28.3m N-S; 29.1m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m). Linear earthen banks abut bank at N (H 0.3m; extends for c. 20m) and SW (H 0.4m; extends for c. 24m). Entire site under grass except for some bushes atop bank at SE.
