Description
In level pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.75m) with an external fosse (D 0.65m; Wth 2.6m). Much of enclosing element and all of interior is covered by dense overgrowth of trees and bushes. In rough pasture, on slight S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 32m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.45m) with an external fosse (D 0.55m; Wth 3.4m). In pasture. Roughly circular area (c. 40m N-S; c. 36m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m; ext. H 2.7m) NE->NW and defined by a scarped edge (H 1.9m; Wth 6.8m) NW->NE, with external fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.75m) NE->NNW. Outer edge of fosse has recently been re-cut at NE.
