In level dry pasture. Roughly circular area (24m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by two concentric earthen banks, with intervening fosse (Wth 2.3m) and external fosse (Wth 1m; D 0.25m). Both inner bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m) and external bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.25m) are best preserved SE->NW. External bank incorporates field boundary NNE->ENE. Interior level and under grass. Bank and fosse, best preserved NNW->SW, are almost fully levelled SW->NNW. A N-S running field boundary crosses interior on E side. Bank covered by mature ash trees. Level interior is under grass. In level pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) truncated on E side by N-S field boundary and crossed by another field boundary near its N end. Enclosing element of two concentric earthen banks has been substantially levelled but is now best preserved WSW-NW: inner bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.15m); intermediary fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 7.8m); external bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.4m); external water-logged fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 5.5m). Possible entrance at (Wth 6m) at SSW. Description
Detached five-bay two-storey with dormer attic house, built c. 1840, with extension to rear (north). Pitched artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks, uPVC rainwater goods and recent rooflights. Rendered walls throughout with rendered plat bands and quoins to front (south) elevation. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills and surrounds throughout, having uPVC casement windows. Square-headed door opening with rendered surround and uPVC door to front elevation. Recent concrete outbuilding with pitched corrugated-iron roof to west. Set within own grounds.

Description
Detached five-bay single-storey thatched house, built c. 1800, having recent canopied porch to front (north). Hipped thatched roof with rendered chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls with rendered plinth over rendered rubble stone walls. Rendered walls and canopy to porch. Square-headed window openings with render sills, surrounds and uPVC casement windows throughout. Square-headed door opening with uPVC door flanked by uPVC framed sidelights. Four-bay single-storey outbuilding to west having pitched slate roof and rubble stone walls. Recent corrugated sheds to south. Rendered square-profile gates piers to west of house.
