  Description

  In undulating pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled but faint outline of its profile is discernable in field of tall grass. Ring of darker grass growing in slight hollow (Wth c. 3.5m; D c. 0.2m) defines roughly circular area (31.5m N-S; 34m E-W). • LI018-091 Cliff-edge fort
  Description

  In gently undulating pasture, on the W side of a stream. A roughly circular area (20m N-S; 21.5m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.05m) E->SW, and defined by a scarped edge (H 1.1m; Wth 1m) SE->N, and defined by a steep cliff edge (H c. 6m) N->SE which rises from the W bank of the stream. The ground rises sharply beyond the enclosing element on the landward side. The interior is level and under grass, though its surface becomes uneven along the top edge of the scarp.   Description

  In undulating pasture. Rectangular area (c. 28m N-S; c. 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank on W, N and E sides but no visible trace of enclosing element on S side. On N side bank incorporated into E-W field boundary. Bank best preserved on W side (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.25m) but reduced on E side to low broad bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.45m; Wth 3.5m).   Description

  In undulating pasture, on N-facing slope. Oval area (26m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.3m) SE->SW, and defined by scarped edge (H 1.3m; Wth 5.5m) SW->SE. Lime kiln built against scarped edge at N. At SE scarp has been quarried away, probably when kiln constructed. Interior level and under grass; in NE quadrant is shallow depression (3m x 2m; D 0.4m) with up-cast mound (3m x 2m; H 0.4m) on S side. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011

  Description

  In undulating pasture. An upright stone (H 1.3m; Wth 0.3m; D 0.2m), which is rectangular in profile and section, with its long axis aligned E-W. The top of the stone inclines upwards to the E. The edges of the stone have been polished smooth by cattle rubbing against it; they have also worn a shallow hollow in the ground around its base. • Moneymohill National School, school, 1800–1820 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached five-bay two-storey former school, built c. 1810, having central gabled breakfront to south (front) elevation. Pitched slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks, timber eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls having snecked roughly dressed stone walls and roughly dressed quoins exposed in places. Smooth rendered walls to east and west elevations. Square-headed openings to ground floor, front elevation with tooled limestone sills, roughly dressed stone voussoirs and timber framed windows. Square-headed openings to first floor having tooled limestone sills. Lunette opening to first floor of breakfront with tooled limestone sill and timber framed window. Roughcast rendered piers to south flanking double-leaf wrought-iron gate.
